this idea that Elia is going to be 'the one'. Sounds like the
same story as Bothma/Mikalcius to me. Frustrating that we have
to put our hope in players with little track record in key
positions.

I’m confused. Bothma is fine, Mikalcius kicked out coz of long
term injury.
Elia plays hooker for Samoa aged 22. So I’m guessing that’s
where it comes from.

Cookie has never liked Bothma or Cat and likes to say so when
ever he can

Cookie likes Bothma, but the jury is out on him. Same for Elia
and Catrikilis. This idea that all three are going to transform
our fortunes doesn't hold water until they play (and perform) on
a regular basis. But my original point stands - we are
desperately weak at hooker.

I'm beginning to think Saili is a real sick note as there seems
to always be something different wrong with him.
And he looked far too happy in a family piccy recently
considering how much he is supposedly going through.
Just an impression..

Well that got weird....is he meant to look sad all the time?

I think Elia has looked really promising for us when he's played
- his throwing seems to be consistently better than any of our
other hookers. I do agree that it's an area of weakness for us,
as much as Dave Ward has given a huge amount to the club over
the last few years I really hope that we don't see him starting
any prem games at 2.

Sadly it would be amazing if Clifford and Chisholm were not
injured.
Both potentially wonderful but seem to be almost permanently
injured. I would rather we let them go and got in a couple of
guys who are fit to play far more than a few games a season. I
know many will not agree but we are all entitled to our opinion.
I just don't see the point of having players on the squad who
are sucking up money who very rarely are fit enough to play. I
know it is not their fault and they must be very frustrated but
it does not help the club.
Delighted to see El at hooker - Wardie is a lovely guy but he is
a liability when we get a L/O. As Codling is apparently
somewhat obsessed about the L/O I think Wardies appearances may
be limited this season.

I think that's unfair on Chisholm. He played in 14 games last
season (only one in the LV, the others all Prem or Champions
Cup), playing the full 80 more often than not.

Plus we don't know how bad (or not) these injuries are. May
just be knocks. Season is still 2 weeks away so time for them
to clear up
