I guess if everyone opts to make a donation to the club the need
to complete the fixtures is massively reduced On the other hand,
if everyone said they wanted a refund the motivation to find a
way to play the games with a crowd goes up.

From my point of view it’s hard to make a decision on what to do
until you know what the amount will be, I’d assume that with 4x
home (men’s 1st team) games left it could be £160+ for the most
expensive seat which right now with 3 tickets (£480) isn’t, I’m
afraid! something, given the option, I can give away...... but
everyone’s personal circumstances will be different.
Turns out it’s £177.5 so £534.5 for the 3 of us.....

It wasn't my intent to come across really mouthed. I applaud
those who wish to donate their money. In many respects they
have left skin in the game and if a decision is made to allow in
a reduced audience I hope they get a priority allocation for
tickets.
As I write this I am perilously close to talking myself into
making a donation...

Both my wife and I have our names on the"loyalty wall" but that
was in a different time. A time when I didn't have 2 young kids
and a mortgage and a business facing an uncertain future. I also
felt more appreciated by the club as a "member"? They can keep
my cash but on account for me to use in the future. Although I'm
tempted to ask for it back as I could do with every but of cash
I can lay my have on right now.....

I doubt that’s true. Season ticket holders make up only around
40% of the seats, and the club makes a lot of its match day
income from food and drink sales; even if we all opted to
donate, it would still be a long way down on its typical revenue
for the season. I think they will be doing all they can to
complete the season with as many fans in the ground as they can
manage.

I think you may be out with that 40% figure. over the last
decade or so, Membership/STH numbers have been regularly quoted
as in the region of 8000 to 9000 most years. Even on the lower
number, that's around 55%, rising to 60% for the higher number.

1 Metre+ Social distancing means only using every 3rd seat at
least so the allowed crowd would then be a third of capacity?
Certainly wouldn't be a loud crowd.

I think you’re right - I was writing from a clearly wonky
memory. But it doesn’t alter the point that Season Ticket
revenue is only a fairly small proportion of total matchday
revenue, so is unlikely to influence whether they play the
matches with fans.
Actually, come to think of it, in order to make the refund
offer, they will need to have a pretty good idea of what’s going
to happen to the matches for the rest of the season anyway. It
only makes sense to offer a refund if they have some idea of the
upper limit on how many fans can be at the ground for the
remaining matches.

Possibly. But it might be possible to do more if they can work
out how to let couples and family groups in.

9,000 x £30 = £270,000. That'll pay Manu for half a season.
