       > Quins announce 19/20 ticket reimbursement contingency plan
       >
       > Harlequins wishes to share an update with all supporters
regarding the outstanding 4 home matches at The Stoop this
season, and share the Club’s contingency plan regarding tickets.
       > Premiership Rugby (PRL) has confirmed the remaining matches of
the 2019/20 Gallagher Premiership season are currently postponed
and they are investigating ways to complete the season. We are
working closely with PRL, the other clubs and relevant
stakeholders to find a solution, as our strong preference is to
       complete the season.
       >
       > Any Tickets, Pre-Paid Parking, Hospitality and Season Ticket
Memberships purchased that include these matches will still be
valid for the re-arranged dates. However, in the event that the
matches are cancelled or played behind closed doors, we have
developed a contingency plan with options for our supporters to
have maximum flexibility according to their needs and wishes.
Supporters will be able to choose the % split between the
       following 3 options:
       > Credit Note – a credit to your online account, which can be
redeemed against future ticket and membership purchases over the
next two seasons (20/21 and 21/22).
       > Donate to the Club – as a response to the many incredibly
generous offers of support from you, we have an option to donate
to the Club, should you feel able to support us at this
       challenging time
       > Refund – an option to receive a full refund, paid to you
automatically via your original payment method.
       >
       > Please note that the reimbursement policy will only be
applicable to matches that are cancelled or have to be played
behind closed doors. Further information will be shared with
supporters as soon as PRL confirm how the 2019/20 season will
       conclude.
       >
       > Harlequins Chief Executive Officer Laurie Dalrymple said “I
would like to thank all supporters who have sent messages and
offers of support to the Club over the last few weeks. We have
frankly been taken aback by your kind words and actions. It has
been incredibly humbling to hear the strength of feeling so many
of you have expressed for Harlequins, despite your own personal
and professional challenges at this difficult time. Your
requests to help support the Club have led us to develop a
series of options, based on your suggestions. While we hope to
conclude the 2019/20 season, it feels the right time to openly
share our contingency plan with you, so that you can feel
assured that the Club is approaching this challenge with our
       supporters at heart”.
       >
       > Regarding the following season, Dalrymple commented “we
believe the 2020/21 season will go ahead as planned at this
stage. We will of course contact you and adapt our plans should
PRL or government COVID-19 advice require a different course of
       action”.
       >
       > Finally, we wish you all well and hope you and your families
are safe and well. These are difficult days but we know that we
are ready to bounce back together in the near future!

Seems fair enough. For the stick the club were getting, they
have waited till they had something to say and now said it. I
like the idea of donating to the club, happy with that.

       I welcome this update.
We already knew that the 2019/20 season games were postponed but
not cancelled. What we didn't have was a clear statement about
refunds/vouchers or contribution to the club should games be
cancelled. The options being offered are flexible enough to
meet everyones expectations. Furthermore they have set a
precedent and if games are postponed/cancelled in the 2020/21
season, because of a 2nd spike, we should expect a similar
       package on the table.
I am particularly pleased with the forward looking statement
regarding the 2020/21 season. In the circumstances it is about
as good as anyone can expect. A refund has already been
promised if things don't work as hoped.
I will now jump in with both feet and fully commit to renewing
my season tickets. The first game with everyone there should be
       a real celebration.

I shall not be asking for a refund for 19/20 should that
transpire (its only 4 games worth) and will renew on DD to hedge
my bets. I don't think it actually costs you any more doing it
       that way.

How about offering something in return to those who donate to
the club such as access to the Members bar? For some 4 games is
a lot of money having not worked for months.

On the back of my Fag (cough) I reckon the refund to be around
£150 for 19/20 for my Premier seats. I think of it as 4 Rugby
days out that have already gone by (and might still happen on
TV) so because I am invested in Quins I am happy to Donate this
to the Club. I completely understand that not everyone is in the
       same boat of course.
Access to the Members/Honours Bar is only worth having up until
about 1 hr before ko imho...
