       Another favourite was pairing up with a similar sized player,
       having to run the width of the pitch with that player on yor
       shoulders, then swap and run back. Always an interesting race,
       and a rare occasion to feel sorry for the props.

       That were nought! We used to 'ave ter carry 2 blokes running
       backwards up a hill while doing star jumps!

       Quins used to do this except the length of the pitch and there
       was no sane pairing of players. Andrew Mehrtens told me about
       having to carry Mike Ross...

       Makes you wonder if he'd upset one of the coaches... unless he
       was allowed to use some form of hoist!
       I remember one training session where we had to take some pretty
       heavy hits. One scrum half looked at a particularly hard
       tackling prop and piped up with "can I use my car?"
