So during these trying days without live Rugby, I have been
intrigued by the Bronco test.
I remember DC talking about it on the BBC podcast some time ago.
The Blues in Nz did their test during the new preseason. Beuden
Barrett did it in a ridicously quick time of 4mins 12 seconds.
DC said his best is around 4:30 ish.
Who do you think the top English player would be? I would take a
punt on Elliot Daly.

Its tough, not just speed, need to maintain that speed. Maybe
not so much now but Mike Brown would have been a good candidate.
Johnny May seems to have a really good engine aswell

Reminds me of the beep test. Apparently in his day, the
Springbok with the best endurance was Schalk Burger. As HT says,
it's not just the speed, it's the engine.

The Bronco test is used as a measurement of aerobic endurance,
and it sees players run shuttles of 20 metres, 40 metres and 60
metres five times over as quickly as possible.

My record is 4:34....I love having a go at it every now and then
to mix training up. BB is the man to beat apparently

I'd be disappointed if my time was over four minutes...
...per set :D

These guys are amateurs. I just did it in 4:11. I think if I get
my fitness better, then I can improve by 12 minutes to get it
down to under 4 hours.
But, for now, I will have a few pints to celebrate. #feeltheburn

We used to have a variation in my playing days which was topped
off with a sprint to the other end of the pitch - absolute
killer.

I used to enjoy the bleep test. Shuttle runs. All good fun. That
was in the days when I didn't strain a muscle just thinking
about running.
