Don’t see this season finishing even behind closed doors -
there is too much Rugby left to play 9 fixtures then semis and
final so realistically that’s 11 weeks after the return to play
protocols are completed (6 weeks I think) and that’s once
training can recommence I.e. at least another 2 weeks but more
likely 5 so that’s 22 weeks from now so middle to end of
September at the earliest..And that doesn’t take into account
player contracts ending on 30 June so different squads to play
the majority of the remaining fixtures.
Also bAsed on what Prof Chris Witty said in today’s C19 briefing
about vaccines and suitable medicines to treat C19 I doubt mass
gatherings will be allowed until next year so I really fear that
next season will be fanless and ultimately this may make the
future of professional rugby as we know it unsustainable.
I sincerely hope I am wrong on all counts as I ‘need’ Quins
rugby to continue

I can't see that they can finish this season. I think it's all
over bar the fat lady....
With the CMO telling us that social distancing will have to
continue till next year, unless we get someone with the balls to
"say lets get back to work" the whole country is going to be
down the swanny, we won't have to worry about rugby!

Just give Quins the title. It's clear that we were going to hit
a rich vein of form, and demolish everyone we came up against...

Germany have cancelled Oktoberfest, so that is an indication of
how seriously they are taking this. Germans are all crying in
their beer...or they would be... ;)

If by balls you mean casual disregard for life then you're
correct.

DrMiles how do you suggest we avoid a total economic collapse
and a worse depression than the 1920s?

We can’t, unless you are proposing that you are willing to
sacrifice a proportion of the population in order to make a
buck.

A 1920s style depression would indirectly kill more people than
this virus would.
Sooner or later someone will have to make the decision.
Whatever they choose, they will be heavily criticised.
I am just pleased that I don't have to make the decision.

This is what is missed by so many, largely because many of the
talking heads in politics and the media have never done a real
days work in their lives.... Poverty reduces live expectancy, if
we're all poorer the NHS we're "protecting" won't be able to be
funded because we'll all be too poor to pay for it in its
current form.
All I know is that the CCP has a lot to answer for 🤬
