Re: Premiership Rugby considering staging back-to-back behind
closed doors

Sorry to say again, but it’s wishful thinking. I know why, but
it’s stupid. We have the potential to make this end positively.
Players will have had a break and a chance to recover physically
they would never normally have had (unless All Black stars - who
do routinely take career breaks to prolong their careers). If we
manage it, allow them to come back to full fitness in time, and
pick up in a managed way then we minimise the harm to them and,
longer term, the clubs. Rush it, prioritise short term gain over
long term, and we make things worse.

Let’s hope one of the things they don’t train for is the
wretched caterpillar and ban box kicking and arguing with the
ref.

Two points.
1. Social distancing should be a permanent fixture for any
caterpillar ruck
2. No training means Quins can’t have their ‘good week of
training’ before a loss, so what do we do, win?
