Marler quitting

Worrying short article in MoS that he is thinking about walking
away after the fall out from’ballgate’. Hope it’s not true but
can believe it with the hysteria from some on social media
blowing up a relatively small thing into a crisis. It was a
silly thing to do, but has been escalated disproportionately
imho not that I would condone it.

Edit:
Joe's just done an Instagram Live that showed him
pressure-washing his patio. All you could see was the patio ,
the pressure washer nozzle, & his feet. Near the end he ended up
using the pressure washer to "draw a meat & two veg" on one of
the stones then erase it afterwards. Whether that was him
expressing his opinion on the story doing the rounds, who can
say...

I've often thought that Joe might just walk away from rugby.
When he dropped out of the England squad and explained about the
pressure, it was clear that he didn't cope well with that side
of it. Incidents like the tackle tickle, and more importantly
the way they are handled (no pun intended), will doubtless heap
more pressure on him. I can imagine him just deciding it's not
worth it. I do hope to be proven wrong.

Feels like he'd be letting the morons win by quitting. He'd miss
the game and the game would miss him.
