Gloucester tell players & staff that wages will be cut by 25%
and others adopting same approach (indications are Wasps,
Harlequins and Leicester + more TBC). Uproar about measure just
days after games suspended.

Wage cut policy follows 6-hour talks between Prem club owners,
amid fears that some clubs could go bust ‘within weeks’ due to
suspension caused by coronavirus outbreak.
Would this bring Sarries under the salary cap this season
☺
Seriously though will all the clubs survive? Not just in the
premiership but also lower leagues.

I read somewhere that one club, possibly Northampton, will lose
£400,000 from every home game that doesn't take place.

IMHO, Just shows how unsustainable professional club rugby is in
the UK and is basically living hand to mouth unless you have a
deep pocketed sugar daddy.
I'd like to think that once thing get back to normal (if it ever
does!!!) that any reductions would be sorted out as money comes
back into the clubs (or any business) but being a cynic I doubt
it will .....

At times like these, in all honesty, I do find it hard to find
the sympathy - when people around the country will be losing
their jobs/income entirely without any recourse and having to
queue at food banks to feed their kids as a result. I do think
perspective is important - and whilst the RPA are doing exactly
as they should be doing, representing the players, there will
need to be some maturity shown here.
I have no idea if I'll have a job in 2 weeks time, but I'm well
aware that for others the situation is so much worse than that.
Unprecedented times.

I agree 100% toast. It is possible the club owners will learn
from this but if some cut wages and others don’t that could skew
the market.I do believe wages at the top are very
disproportionate.I have little sympathy if they are cut

Could come down to if owners are prepared to keep the club
"afloat". Im not saying a prem team will go to the wall, but
there could be some massive cuts for some. Hopefully ours are
able to keep things going

Have they spent the 20million windfall already or are they not
allowed to spend it on anything at all.
