Cup final + future games at risk due to Coronavirus?

With news banding around that football matches (Not just limited
to the PL) will possibly be played behind closed doors, surely
this would affect rugby as well, bearing in mind our bigger
games the attendances match up to quite a few Championship
football teams.
Hopefully there's some clarification soon due to fans making
arrangements for this weekends and next weekends Sale fixtures

I would expect games to be behind closed doors sooner rather
than later. If not this weekend, then certainly after.

Not sure that will end up being enough - for player safety it
surely won't be long before games just can't be played. As we
are seeing in other sports, all it takes is one person related
to a team (staff/player/physio etc) to put everyone into
self-isolation.

Apparently EUFA are holding a videoconference next week
regarding European and domestic competitions during the
pandemic. Add that to the report in the telegraph this morning
saying that they are already planning for Premier League &
Football League games to be played behind closed doors, then I'd
say it's a safe assumption both Rugby codes will have to follow
suit.

Bit of a shame considering I planned to go to the Sale
premiership fixture already buying tickets.
Was really looking forward to having an up close moan at how
terrible we probably will be on the day. Big shame for the
forums

No government ban on events this week at least although
certainly is going to happen at some time in the future.

Makes you wonder why many sports are banning hand shakes, but
can share a water bottle!
This weekend could be the last weekend of games we can attend,
so best make the most of it

As I understand it, the virus is more likely to be transferred
by hands than by lips.

Premier League games confirmed to be going ahead this weekend
with fans in attendance. I assume this will follow suit.
