Goode is a shock jock these days. I remember his reaction to the
Dave Ward ‘spitting’ offence in BG11. Loves the controversy and
the comments on his Twitter feed.

I don’t disagree. But if he is right about the rules, it looks
like Marler will be unavailable for a while.

not sure if serious? He flew into his head and made no attempt
to tackle. Was amazed it took so long to send him off.

North dropped 2ft from the moment he sets himself to tackle
because Slade’s tackle was better than expected. Manu’s a silly
arse for leading the way he did and deserves a yellow but the
only reason he’s anywhere near his head is because Slade tucks
him up after he’s committed. Fair enough you disagree.
Parkes should’ve taken 10 mins earlier, Youngs was tackled with
a swinging arm to the neck but it was ignored as Daly scored.
Just inconsistent. Reffing where the offence happened rather
than the offence itself.

I thought the Genge yellow was harsh as the penalties we gave
away weren’t that cynical or high in number. I did get the
feeling that the ref was a bit harsh on England in the last
twenty when Wales were committing similar offences which were
let go. Anyway we won which was the main thing.

Seemed to be plenty of mitigating circumstances to downgrade
from a red, a yellow would have been more suitable I think. I
didn’t see what Genge was actually done for, can anyone tell me?

Genge was pulled for offside - we'd just been warned that any
further penalty infringements (in red zone) would result in/risk
a card.
According to the rules (BBC), 12 weeks is the entry point for
playing with someone else's balls - 208 weeks the maximum.
Tuilagi was reckless and didn't think about the possible
repercussions of his "tackle" with respect to tackled player's
safety.
Same old people blaming the ref. I think one or two of them -
one with history of ref abuse - don't really know the rules
(*expecting reaction*).
Que Sera, Sera.

Clear red for manu. No arms, shoulder to head, reckless. North
may have been going down but so was Manu. It was just a flying
charge not a tackle
Be really irritating if we lose Joe now for that. Such an odd
thing to do anyway

If you’re talking about me, I don’t abuse referees. I think many
are inconsistent but I don’t abuse them.
Rewatching this morning, Manu’s HKG was worse than on first
glance in the pub. Can see why it was red. Still bemused as to
why the TMO didn’t intervene with Parkes though. Marler was
daft. If he cops a ban for it he’ll only have himself to blame.

Was what Marler done really that bad. If it had been the other
way around I wouldnt be shouting for AWJ to cop a ban. Looked
more "jokey wind up" than "Im gonna hurt you". Move on. (and i
would be saying that about anyone, not just because it is
Marler)
While it is happening, marler is laughing, as he walks away AMJ
looks more amused than distraught.
