Ashton is hugely experienced and this will only benefit our
       younger players.

Big mate of Danny Care and has a house down here as heard on the
BBC Rugby podcast! Would be happy to see him here for the rest
of the season or all of next! With the rate we have broken backs
this season we'll need him. If we can afford him of course...

Would rather have Ashton than Ibitoye or Chisholm Snr any day.
Flog ‘em both.... then sell ‘em. 😉

Trying to be kind about this. Presume he may have left Sale on
condition he does not play them this season? Can’t help feeling
he will be disruptive to the squad, but if we must have him
trust it will only be until the end of the season and hope he
       refrains from any splashes.

Completely agree on Ibitoye - he's an X-factor player that can
       change a game.
Yes, there is room for improvement on his defence. Let's not
forget what Ugo's defence was like in the early part of his
career and what it was like by the end.
I've never been an Ashton fan, but at this point in time I think
he could do a job for us. I also think he's less of an (insert
choice adjective here) since listening to him on the BBC rugby
       forecast.

Not sure he would be disruptive. As is mentioned elsewhere among
       Sale fans:
“ Perhaps lost in this storyline is that Ashton’s rugby wisdom
will be a big loss. He's not just an extraordinary reader of a
game, but he's always seemed quite confident & open with sharing
       his insight with his teammates.”
