Agree with a lot of the sentiment on here. What an amazing
performance when you consider the seasons each of the respective
teams are having. I thought Young really came of age yesterday
(think he’s been unfairly criticised at points this season).
Symons was brilliant for 40 minutes and makes a huge difference
to our pack when he plays, I hope he only came off at half time
as a precaution even though big Tex was good when he came on.
Dombrandt put a huge shift in, especially in defence which is
something they’ve mentioned him working on.
Special mention for James Chisholm who has been quite simply
phenomenal over the last couple of months, really stepped up as
a leader and made himself a nailed on starter. He’s unlucky he’s
playing in the same back row as Dombrandt as I think he’d be
getting a lot more plaudits if he wasn’t. For me, if he sustains
this level of performance, he’s nailed on to be club captain
next season as Robbo steps down.
I think Lasike was great again yesterday, centre options of him,
Marchant and Esterhuizen will cause team major headaches.
Overall a big boost for the club, I think it showed how
important the atmosphere is and that level of noise and support
shouldn’t just be reserved for the games against Exeter and
Sarries. Hopefully we can go to Bristol next week and put in
another similar display

I haven't got time to re-watch the whole match right now to find
the earlier example, but take a look at his defence for
Simmonds' try in the 49th minute.

Also a quick note, I thought the Simmonds brother were simply
outstanding yesterday. They both should be getting a look in for
england especially back row Simmonds, I don’t think I’ve quite
seen a backrow like him before, his speed and acceleration were
breathtaking and left even our backs in his dust

I wouldn't have objected to Joe Simmonds getting MoTM. He was
impressive.

Asked the Gallagher guy who got it as he went to award
it....presumed he would say Simmonds 10, so slightly surprised
when he told me who got it!!

Agree with you, he should also be credited for the turn over in
the first half by tackling their FB and keeping him over their
tryline after the kick through from Smith, this led to our first
try from a scrum penalty.

Anyone who says "can't think of a moment where he put a foot
wrong" in a match where the guy missed four tackles wasn't
watching.
He did literally nothing in attack to go with being a defensive
liability.

I would balance complaints about the penalty try with the lack
of yellow cards for persistent penalties in the red zone.

I would advise caution.
I agree with everything you say but this is typical Quins. We
can be brilliant like yesterday and with the same team we are
capable of being absolute rubbish as well. It's almost always
been that way.
The good thing this season is that with the exception of Exeter
(and ignoring The Cheats) the same can be said of almost every
other team in the league which is making it very interesting.
