That was soooo Quins that it was almost a parody!
Team and Gustard so very fired up from wins against
Sarries/Chiefs B teams that they have a fortnight off and then
can't get it up for 'lowly' Irish (who are actually a decent
side), who promptly school us in what a proper gritty
performance in bad conditions looks like. And take home a bonus
       point win.
Top 4 slips away yet again.
I fear that we really are the archetypal mid-table glory-hunting
fair-weather snowflakes that other teams always paint us as.
Apology from Gussie to the 14k cold and wet people who attended
       please....

Gustard's interview just said that every fit back available was
playing, yet Goneva didn't play and is not listed as
       unavailable. What gives?

Of all the new signings Baldwin has been the poorest for me. As
an ex international he is presumably on a decent wage and is
supposedly our no 1 choice hooker. Gray was going really well
and unfortunately Baldwin's arrival completely killed the
momentum we needed to build to get back in it. Think we lost
five lineouts in a row? Can't remember him having a decent game
since signing. Some promising players already signed up for next
season but really concerned the lack of a consistent first
choice hooker that isn't injury prone will still hold us back.

Quintessential - absolutely spot on. Gussie beforehand saying
we'd been on a run - the sarries and Exeter teams we beat would
have been lucky to make an a league game in different
circumstances. We haven't turned a corner at all, we have
absolutely no guts whatsoever. Flat track bullies. Can get up
for a one off game but too much dead wood, and too liitle
interest if it's not on telly or against a big team.

what a massive surprise. Another ex Welsh International phoning
it in. Jones bucked the trend (but only somewhat, he was a
shadow for us in reality, apart from the game he played
loosehead) but they aren't interested unless they are playing in
       front of Welsh fans.

Goneva is listed as injured on the team announcement e mail,
not sure how much difference he would have made?

Ah. I trusted the list that was posted here...

Chisholm is not captaincy material, and frankly hes starting to
fall into the bog standard squad filler category.
Only slight positive is we scrummed well overall.
You can see why Smith is no where near the England set up, as
his game management and kicking in the conditions were poor.
As I’ve constantly said Ross Chisholm is neither good at being a
winger or a fullback. We collect too many jack of all trades
master of naff all type players.

Agree with everything. Without wishing to be pessimistic I
thought the worse when the team came out yesterday. I just hope
it was a team that we had to play as that’s all we had available
rather than a Gustard “rotation for rotations sake” outfit.
Although Danny Care on the bench makes me think otherwise.
Shambolic afternoon. Very disappointed, especially with a chance
to make serious places up the table. Usual 1 step forward 7
       steps back

I know you love to have a downer on Quins, but that's ridiculous
even by your standards. James Chisholm a "bog standard squad
filler category"? Have you been drinking?
