> This weekend’s Gallagher Premiership fixture against London
Irish marks a first for elite level rugby, with Harlequins the
first professional rugby club to hold a Pride themed fixture in
an innovative step to break down barriers and drive inclusivity.

> On the day, the Club is handing out 250 LGBTQ+ branded
t-shirts and 2000 LGBTQ+ Pride flags while there will be rainbow
themed pyrotechnics, ten large guard of honour rainbow flags and
the day’s referees and mascots will be wearing LGBTQ+ themed
clothing, including rainbow touch-line flags. Adding an extra
twist of flair to the afternoon’s festivities, a t-shirt cannon
with LGBTQ+ t-shirts will feature at half-time, amongst other
features at the break. Fans can also find out at half-time
whether they've won the Mighty Draw, announced by former
Harlquins player and LGBTQ+ community member Simon Miall. You
can also hear from Miall at half-time about his experience at
Harlequins and being a member of the LGBTQ+ community.

> The club is also hosting a pre-game panel moderated by Nick
Heath (LGBTQ+ Rugby commentator) featuring Dr Zoe Saynor (LGBTQ+
Harlequin’s Women player), Simon Miall (LGBTQ+ Harlequins player
from 2002-2007), Lord Robert Hayward (LGBTQ+ Conservative
politician and founding member of the Kings Cross Steelers),
Craig Maxwell-Keys (LGBTQ+ Premiership Rugby Referee), and Jamie
Hooper (LGBTQ+ Senior Equality & Diversity Manager, Sport
England).

> The Club’s shop will offer rainbow mugs available for purchase
to the general public, while there will be half-time
entertainment in the form of a kicking competition featuring two
Harlequins members who got engaged at Big Game Eleven.

> Charities The Terrance Higgins Trust, Stonewall and the LGBT+
Police Network will host stands handing out educational content
and giveaway items.
>
> Supporters can also view multiple digital features on current
and former players and an inclusive London-based amateur rugby
club across Harlequins’ social media platforms over the week.

> Harlequins encourages fans to bring the noise to The Stoop for
all home matches, but this week we want you to bring your
colours too! Wear the colours of the rainbow, whether you bring
your own or acquire on the day and get behind the team in a key
Premiership clash against London Irish on Saturday.
