       It shows how precarious a rugby player's career is. While this
       is just guess work, it's entirely possible that without the run
       of injuries, Paul would barely have played and we'd have
       offloaded him. He'd then have had two seasons where he didn't
       play much, so might struggle to find another club to go to. We
       might have re-signed him based on what he does in training, but
       I think it's fair to assume that the run of injuries has been a
       real boost to his chances of getting re-signed.
       The on the other hand, Saili has been permanently injured so
       probably leaves and then has to rely on his reputation as a
       former All Black rather than anything he's done for us in the
       last 3 years to get a new deal elsewhere. Still, at least he'll
       leave with a healthy bank balance
