Ask the players at his former clubs. They didn't exactly rush to
wish him well. Nor did many of the officials and supporters of
those clubs.

It appears that he had some success at London Welsh & Scottish.
Is he bothered about being popular?

Very limited short-term success at Scottish and virtually none
at Rosslyn Park where his services were dispensed with
mid-season. Agreed coaches don't need to be popular but they
need to be respected and it seems that was a major problem for
him.

Hardly a suggestion - just an Ealing fan dreaming. Codling seems
very, very happy back at Quins and if the first game was
anything to go by he's already doing an excellent job.
