Good to see the signing confirmed. Hopefully he can sort out our
lineout. I'd hope any other coaching appointment, or leavers,
are sorted out in the next week or so so there's no-one coming
in half way through pre-season

A straight swap - Alex to Quins and Minty to Ealing - would
potentially work very well for both sides; no idea if that's
what they have planned. Codling/Bomb sounds like a potentially
very good combo, though - a lineout specialist (at last) and a
guy who certainly knows his way around the scrum.

Good to see him back at the Stoop, he was a good player for us
many moons ago. :)

Need to get the line out and the maul (attacking and defending)
working properly so if he can do that, all power to him. Like
the idea of Minty going the other way, let him work out how to
do it and then coming back to Quins.

Perhaps he could go on loan? Otherwise maybe a year in NZ?

i dont mind the fact he has moved a round a bit as a coach, he
has been learning his craft, which is safe to say some of out
other coaches should be doing.
I think now he is moving to a premiership club, he will be
looking to bed down and earn his stripes with a view of a HC
role there in the future or somewhere else, to do that he will
need to spend a few years with quins.

He'd look to be a good fit for them. Why don't any of these
young(ish) coaches from the Championship move up. Although I
accept that is exactly what Codling is doing with us of
course....
