OT: London Irish Season Tickets

London Irish tickets at the new Brentford FC ground have just
gone on sale.
Two families who live near me (Kingston) have each just bought a
family ticket: 2 adults and 2 children for £600. Tickets in a
similar area at the Stoop would cost just under £800, and that's
at this season's prices.
Not hugely surprising that Irish are pricing tickets
aggressively. The friends who've bought them wouldn't have
bought Quins season tickets, but they would have gone to the odd
game at the Stoop. It'll be interesting to see if it has any
effect on attendances next season.

They need to woo back the local support who wouldn’t go to
Reading. Selling season tickets at a bite your hand off price is
a smart move. They did this at the Stoop years ago with a £99
season ticket which I would have been daft not to buy. I used to
only go to certain games due to work but would only need to go
to 5 games to get my money back so to speak. Then work changed
and I could make full use. The cost has more than doubled over
the years but I’m now hooked and it’s still fantastic value.

I think LI need to price them aggressively for two reasons.
First they need to make it appealing for the fans who are based
around the Reading area to make the journey down to Kew Bridge.
It's not a straight trip on the train, as you need to change at
Staines. By keeping the cost low, they'll hope to keep many of
the Reading fans as STHs rather than occasional attendees.
Second, they have a large stadium to fill, & they've never had
the greatest of attendances anyway. Low prices may help attract
people.

I'm going to wait until the fixtures are announced next season.
I'll probably get one if most of their homes games are on when
we're away.

Surely some mistake. A few weeks you were denying you were Bish.

Perhaps Saracens fans will leave the sinking ship and watch
London Irish. Lovely stadium, it could be the start of something
big for them.

If you ever come back down to Quins, I’ll bring some proper
gravy to put on your chips, as long as you don’t sit in my
seat...
