This was the exact thought I had. Partly him feeling that a
change of scenery might be a bit of fun (and would presumably
carry with it promotional/media opportunities to boost income)
and partly him feeling that it was the right thing to do for his
(and our) club. I also have no doubt that conversations will
have been had about his future post-playing career. I wouldn't
be surprised to see him back at The Stoop in some capacity at
some point. Can picture him as Chairman when he gets a few more
wrinkles on the forehead and who knows what other roles he might
be interested in between now and then...

He’s always struck me as an honest and realistic bloke. Perhaps
he feels that he’s not going to be able to maintain his own
standards in the Premiership and wants to leave on his own
terms.

Can't disagree with this. Conversely, a 75% Robshaw would still
be better than most players on the pitch.
