Sad, but was going to happen at some point.
Glad for him that he's been able to leave on his own terms.
All the best Robshaw, and thanks for the memories :-)

He was on talk sport earlier and sounded like he was retiring
       properly

He'll surely have something named after him. Brownie has a bar,
       so... Robshaw Pie Stand?

Rename the (Stan) South Stand the (Chris) Robshaw Stand.

Robshaw fits into club legend status but I’m not sure how I feel
about the club captain announcing he is leaving half way through
       the season, rather disruptive, thoughts?

This is really sad news. He has been such an inspiration for the
club. He has shown his love and devotion in every single game he
has played; a genuine legend of the club and of the game.
I will be really sorry to see him go.
Let's hope he can take us all the way to the final in June and
end on the highest of highs!!!!
Thank you for everything Chris. I agree that he should have a
       stand named after him.

So much better than the rumour mill grinding away. The manner of
the resignation has shown his teammates respect. He'll get that
       back in spades.

I remember being told to watch out for this kid Robshaw who had
been tearing it up in pre season. He had his own bevy of teenage
girl followers at HQ for the opening game and I remember
thinking they were probably the only people in the crowd who
knew who he was. Well, that changed quickly.
This season has been below his usual standard but until now
you'd struggle to use the fingers of both hands to count his bad
performances. Just a ridiculously good player, incredibly smart,
skilled, with a great attitude and the engine to match.
Premiership player of the year twice - in two different
positions - and made a real impact for England after inheriting
a rabble that had the worst breakdown of any top tier nation.
I'll never forget how good he was at his peak, like basically
playing 7, 9, and 10 in the premiership final, or the countless
heroic tryline interventions, or the number of times we'd
exclaim "Robshaw, AGAIN". The joke about there being two of him
       was well earned.
He never got the wider credit he deserved, but he was always
massively rated by players and coaches who he played for or
against. Managing to turn around someone as arrogant and
dismissive as Eddie Jones takes some doing, but he did it.
Vale, Chris. You've been a Quins hero.

The day that you hope will never come. These days, the word
"legend" is thrown around too lightly. Chris is one of the few
who truly deserve it. One of those rare players that seemingly
everyone has the utmost respect for, and deservedly so. I've
heard players say that you don't appreciate just how good he is
until you're on the same pitch, whether it be alongside him or
against him. I truly believe we'll never replace him - he really
is that unique - but we'll just have to find a way to play
without the man whose head never drops, whose engine never
fails, and whose attitude has dragged teams back to their feet
more times than I can recall. A huge loss.
Good luck Captain Fantastic - whatever you do, you'll do it to
an incredibly high standard. Wherever you go, they'll be lucky
       to have you.

Sorry - meant to hit “agree” but clearly my finger was
fractionally out of alignment... I agree wholeheartedly. The
team will have known that he was going long before we did, and
he’s handled the announcement with his usual aplomb. There
aren’t many players who get to leave this sport on their own
terms, but he looks like he might be one of them, and there are
       few who deserve it more.
Could this be the spur for the team to rally round and carry
their recent performances through to the end of the season? It
would be entirely appropriate for him to sign off with
       silverware.
