The video the club have just tweeted of him is more ambiguous
about what's next, particularly when he talks of not having to
get up for pre-season...

Best of luck to him. Wouldn't begrudge him one last big payday
somewhere.

Rumours are he's going to New York. Absolute club legend - can't
thank him enough for how much he's given to the Quins shirt. I
hope we'll see him back at the club some day, in some capacity,
when he's hung up his boots as well.
What. A. Guy.

Truly the end of an era. We started supporting Quins in 2004, so
our history with the club has coincided exactly with Chris's
career. It will be strange to start next season without him.
It's not exaggerating to say that he's one of the club's true
greats.
It will be interesting to see whether he does retire, or goes
for a final contract somewhere different. Whatever it is, go
well and with our support.

Won’t be the same without him.
Thanks for everything.

True club legend. Don't begrudge him a final payday in the
least, if that's what he's doing. I'm sure he wouldn't go to
another English club - would be gutted if he did.
I don't think we could justify paying him top whack for another
two seasons as he is bound to slow down eventually, but he could
probably get the same or more than he's on now in America or
Japan

Sad to see him go but it had to happen at some point. Club
legend, great leader and captain.

Huge respect for the man, his leadership, his rugby, the years
of 100% commitment to the shirt, the way he's handed in his
notice before the rumours start flying and because he's leaving
at the top (OK, arguably ever so slightly over the top of the
hill). As always, doing everything right. The team, club,
supporters and me are really going to miss him.
Good luck Chris and thank you.
