O/T - Should there be relegation from the 6 nations?

After another predictable Italy drubbing it’s clear that they
can’t seem to cut it on this stage as year on year they are the
       whipping boys.
My personal view is who finishes bottom of the table is
relegated and a Tier 2 Europe nation replaces them after their
       own “sub” tournament.
It would be good to give other nations and in my eyes freshen
       the tournament up considerably

Just go back to five Nations. Two games on a Saturday.
Tournament 2 or 3 weeks shorter. Prayers come back fresher as
       there is a bye weekend.
Then give it a few years and see if Italy can sort themselves
out or see if another team can step up

On a different note, the ref for Ireland vs Scotland seems
       oblivious to offsides!

23 consecutive six nations losses for italy. Something needs to
change, i'd go for relegation and promotion to try and grow the
       game

I don't see the point in promoting anyone as they will be no
       better than Italy.

They wouldnt be any better right now, but other countries may
invest more in rugby if they know they have a chance to play at
the highest level. Would also light a fire under italy who never
really seem too upset about losing

Italy U20s beat Wales U20s last night so hopefully they're
starting to bring some home grown players through.

Hopefully, however I don’t think the progression from the age
teams to senior teams really has the fruition it should.
Interesting reading this seeing some fairly regular names albeit
it not many senior England starters

I think so but with a play off bottom v top of second tier,
Georgia need assistance and ranked much higher than Italy at
present. They will probably still suffer the same results as
Italy but would be exciting if either team got a win, would be
humbling for Scotland or Wales if they had to have a play off
for there existence in 6 nations
