I'm just saying that your reaction isn't how a captain should
react.

silly.

To be clear I wasn't trying to be confrontational or attempting
to ridicule! But it's hard not to be amused by the response. I
didn't even have to squirt a water bottle...
The art of dealing with refs as a captain is fairly well
understood, I don't think I said anything too controversial.

ref had words with him all through the match asking him to talk
to his players as he was not willing to take all the back chat
and shouting at him, wray didnt have that word and himself had
to be warned. No surprise the ref was sarcastic, I'd have carded
some of them with some of the comments he was getting, thought
the ref was pretty good in managing it. when LP was saying "I
can actually hear you" it's because of the nature of the
comments aimed so this goes on all game he's going to tire of it
sometime.

Petulant and boorish behaviour from the players. The answer is
within the referees own demesne.
