compares with around 6 years so far as we know cheating in every
game you put out a team way above the cap. Our DOR lost his job
and was banned from rugby for 3 years quite rightly, we fessed
up and asked for other cases to be taken into account, MD was
moved on, hardly comparable with how Saddies have behaved and
reacted in all this. go back under your bridge

Dear Sir
I did not mention defend or violate the forum rules with my
post.
All I did was to observe that to call the game honest v cheats
to be not so factually true.
True saracens have after enquiry failed the salary cap.
But to reference Harlequins as Honest, I find a little short
sighted.
Possibly, previous cheats v current cheats would be more
appropriate?
Regards
Dwayne

You're funny....
Nope, minor cheats 10 years ago Vs The biggest cheats (who are
still cheating) in the history of the sport would be more
appropriate

Dear Sir
We seem to be moving in the correct direction.
I just googled it to never have before and found the wiki page
on the incident.
To quote
Bloodgate was a rugby union scandal involving English team
Harlequins in their Heineken Cup quarter-final against Irish
side Leinster on 12 April 2009. It was so called because of the
use of fake blood capsules. In April 2019 the BBC described it
as "rugby's biggest scandal".[1]
To call this minor cheating I would say is not really calling it
as it was.
In my opinion how Leicester played the offside line when they
dominated was far more scandalous.
But my point more is for supporters and club to fully ignore the
not so distant past and then to assume position of major critic
odd.
Maybe it is 10 years of built up resentment all coming out.
Regards
Dwayne

Criticising Saracens for their massive and sustained cheating
does not require us to ignore Bloodgate.

Don't take the bait folks :-)
I would/could not jump on another teams board and start a bun
fight.
There are many ways to get your point across without getting
peoples back up.
Saying that, the Sarries board is an interesting visit. ;-)

I leave this at this point, my point has been made.
One thing I don't get is the lack of discussion on Bath and
Gloucester abusing the 3 loan player rules to increase squad
spend, with easy injury cover available.
Where saracens were caught in reality were playing a different
team to get to the final than in the final. Salary cap aside,
they would of been around the top regardless.
But within or outside the rules two teams who were your direct
competition, definitely were abusing the spirit of the salary
cap, which has really affected you, does that not hurt more?
Possibly with wages accounted into the salary cap, they easily
got a better squad and to beat you or come closer. Has this not
more impact?
