I thought the salary cap does count in the Championship for
those teams that are stakeholders in Premiership Rugby and also
to be promoted you have to show salary cap compliance for two
seasons.

Well I certainly hope that that is the case but you never know,
part of the agreement for relegation might have been that it is
only for one year...

If Saracens break the promotion rule then it really would show
how far rugby has fallen.

If Saracens are prevented from rejoining the premiership for 2
seasons, then ignore the next paragraph.
If Saracens are allowed promotion after 1 season, then the
Championship clubs should collectively agree to refuse to play
them as they will have nothing to gain from doing so.
This would embarrass PRL for their incompetence at letting this
happen, turning a blind eye to it, dealing with it badly in the
middle of the season, and then dumping the problem onto the
'innocent' Championship members who now face little prospect of
short term promotion themselves.

That is very far-fetched. I'm not sure what grounds the
Championship clubs would have for complaint.

Someone on the Sarries board (not a Sarries fan I believe) has
stated that the 2 year compliance is due to a date typo in the
regulations.

That seems unlikely. Not least because it would then just say
"copies of its Declaration and Certification for...<blah>"

I know what you mean but I can't be arsed to look at the regs
myself.

The picture I attached to my last post on this thread is the
ENTIRE SECTION that deals with Promoted Clubs. There's just the
