I hope that BT, Gallagher and Heineken/ERC TV shows stop using
the images of Saracens team during advert breaks etc with the
cups they they won Wray bought. >:( >:( >:(

What does this mean for the games that Saracens are scheduled to
play for the rest of the season? Like our game next Sunday?
Will they go all out, or just not bother?

Common sense finally applied but I get the feeling this will
rumble on a bit longer yet. Cue comments about Bgate being
thrown back at us as it was unfair we weren't relegated/banned
from Europe/burnt at the stake (delete as applicable)
I have thought all along that they would make the Top 4 this
year and I think this will galvanise them to still do that so I
think they'll go all guns blazing to win every game.
As for the players, if EJ comes out and says it will have no
impact then they will stay as if they leave, it is showing their
individual guilt to the supporters that they supposedly love and
respect. It will then also give them an excuse to stay and spare
their blushes.
This is still the tip of the iceberg as regards the impact
though. I can now see this as the dawning of the removal of the
salary cap and move towards franchising. Maybe that's why Wray
has stepped down, to build the blueprint for that...

If they win all their games and make top 4 could they not still
win the Premiership this year? I haven’t seen that they’ve been
docked more points? If they are allowed to play on I expect they
will be full strength next week (certainly not just strolling
around)

I think there are still a few unknowns yet and haven't seen how
this will work out this season. They can still win it and
Europe and have the opportunity to stick 2 fingers up to all of
us, so why wouldn't they.... (accepting that they haven't
cheated in Europe so don't deserve a ban from that perspective)

But they’re still going to be relegated, no matter where they
actually finish, points-wise.

Surely this whole season is now a joke. How do Sarries select a
team from a squad which in effect is now illegal in that it
breaks the rules. Why would any team want to play them under
those circumstances?
As an aside do you think HMRC will be monitoring whats been
going on? Surely if wages have been enhanced by other means that
would be subject to some form of tax? I'm no expert in this and
of course the tax may have been already paid. I believe
something similar happened with Rangers up in the Scottish PL.

I'm reading in a number of papers that Saracens were given the
choice of either accepting relegation next season or having
their titles taken away and a forensic examination of their
books carried out. They chose the first option!

Both should happen.

My understanding is that although there is no salary cap in the
championship, a team needs to have complied to the premiership
salary cap for two years to be promoted.
Is my understanding correct?
And if it is, does that mean that sarries can't come straight
back up after one season as they have probably not complied this
season?
