From what FF is saying, they could change the rule, but if they
don't it looks like 2 years I guess

So, it is likely that to be promoted at the end of the 2020-21
season, Saracens will need to provide evidence of compliance for
the 2018-19 and 2019-20 seasons.
I think we know that they didn't comply in the 2018-19 season.
I think that they are unlikely to comply this season.
It could therefore be that they may need to wait until the
2022-23 before they can be promoted.
This raises a few points:
1. There is basically ring-fencing on the premiership until
Sarries get promoted again
2. Sarries may have issues with their finances if they continue
to spend big in the championship for a number of seasons as
there is less TV money, etc.
They have got to hope that Wray bank rolls them for the next few
years. I know that he is wealthy, but he doesn't have access to
a magic money tree.
3. There are reports about them wanting to sell the club. This
doesn't look like a wise investment opportunity in my opinion.

It does mean (if true) that at the end of next season we could
see Ealing or Pirates come up for a season...

Re Ealing and Cornish their existing ground does not qualify for
Premiership status. Perhaps they will do a London Welsh and move
their games to a Football stadium?

The Premiership, who by many accounts have been turning a blind
eye to this for years, have decided they don’t want to sort out
their own mess and instead decided to dump it into the
Championship.
Ampthill had 77 points put past them this weekend – do they
really want to play Saracens next year? Are Ealing, Pirates, and
Coventry going to bother investing for promotion next year?
I don’t know the answer, but the arrogance of the Premiership
beggers belief. Did Premiership even speak to Championship
before dumping in their garden?
Unlikely – 18 months ago (when Ealing were a realistic
prospective Premiership side) McCafferty said “Just to be very
clear, I don't know the Ealing set-up and I don't know the
people there.”

It does look like Saracens will be down for two years. I did not
realise that. The blatant actions by Wray really have hit the
club.

The scale of their salary cap cheating must be huge. Jones,
Sunday Times, has said though the players would have played for
nothing so it must all have gone on tea and biscuits.
