Listen to the Ruck podcast just before Christmas to hear him at
his worst.

I would agree. no one else on the podcast could understand his
thought process. It was really odd to hear him say Saracens had
basically done nothing wrong when we all know it is not the
case. The interim CEO has finally admitted they broke the cap
and continue to break the cap. Jones still sees nothing wrong
with Saracens.

Stephen Jones is an egotistical dinosaur and a disservice to The
Sunday Times, which I've stopped buying to escape his
self-righteous, holier-than-thou petulance.

The Rugby coverage in the Evening Standard has been pretty much
wall to wall Saracens recently, usually skating over the fact
they are obnoxious unrepentant cheats. The gem today is that
Sanderson thinks McCall should bring back their England big guns
for the match with Racing 92 later this week. But it's McCall's
decision so he doesn't know if he will... What utter drivel.

It is an interesting conundrum for them (LOL): do they target
that game and hope that their "2nd string" (strangely rather
good) will be good enough for us the week after, when they'll
lose all their 6N international's? It's a big risk (or is it?)
for them to gamble on winning the EC as the way to qualify for
the following season's EC rather than trying to finish 6th in
the Premiership (which I suspect they will do).

I would expect Stephen Jones to see this as a yellow card to
Evans for allowing his neck to come in to contact with Carre`s
shoulder.

Bedfordshire Boy - Absolutely.
He describes the dismissal of Carre as "plain wrong" and then
goes on to describe the tackle over two paragraphs. He
concludes that the tackle was "shoulder to shoulder. Not head
to head. Possibly, it was a yellow card".
He puts this whole episode down to "an inadequate referee....
after flourishing the red he signalled his own downfall because
he was awful for the rest of the game"
I did not see the game. There is, however, a big difference
between how Jones reports the tackle and the clip you have
attached. Hardly credible reporting when the bias he employs is
so obvious.

Why does Jones love Saracens with such total blind loyalty? Why
does he think they can do no wrong and players would even pay
Saracens to let them play for them? Can he not see they are
salary cheats, still are salary cheats and should face even
greater fines? Does he not see players like Farrell will not get
red carded from Christmas so there is no chance he will miss the
6 nations?

Expense account lunches can buy a lot particularly those with
little integrity.
