The Goneva at Falcons of the last couple of years would have
been a worthy inclusion in the team/matchday 23 - better than
4th choice. Not sure about this version!
Our recruitment has perplexed me. Sale managed to bring in Lood
de Jager - we never seem to be in the market for that sort of
player. We are certainly not getting value out of the cap. Our
injury issues are stuff of legend. We break centres and hookers
like it's going out of fashion on an almost season by season
basis.

I think alot of our cap "issues" are down to value for money,
basically I do not think we get value for money from some of the
squad considering how much they are (Im guessing) on. In turn,
that hampers the rest of the recruitment. Sale have been able
to spend big, basically because they were no where near the cap,
likewise Bristol it seems next season. We are up to the cap. I
know some will not agree but.....are we getting the value for
money from guys like Care, Brown, Robshaw?? Not saying they are
bad players of course, but I am guessing (only a guess) that
they are on big deals and they are not the players they once
were. Injuries you cannot help, ill never dig a player out for
that (Sailli for example) but is Care still worth the price we
pay for him, would that money be better spent elsewhere etc

Care, Robshaw & Brown are on £320k each apparently.

Slightly off subject but does being a London club hinder us?
Cost of living etc in London and the SE is generally a fair bit
more than the rest of the country therefore do we get less value
for our salary cap? This is always the problem when you have a
national wage which the cap effectively is.

I'd say it would probably be an issue down at the lower end of
the wage spectrum - e.g a £60k salary in the South East vs. a
£60k salary in Sale/Newcastle is a different lifestyle I'd
imagine.

This will be the key as how many decent Southern Hemisphere or
up & coming English players could they spend that £960k on once
these contracts are up. Gussy I’m guessing only says what
players he wants & doesn’t want. The other chap does all the
money side of things.

Former player upset at being released.
However one of our main problems is the total lack of discipline
which has seen us regularly conceding a ridiculous number of
penalties in games for several seasons now and there are
absolutely no signs of the current coaching setup being able to
rectify this.

Bit of perspective needed...... Quins are only one point off a
play-off position.
The team have never travelled well - so going north of the
Watford Gap was bound to lead to a bad case of collective
homesickness.

Yep I was a drowning my sorrows, a good day out yet again ruined
by 80 mins of rugby
“ Come all without, come all with in , we play poor rugby, and
we rarely win”
Made up last night and seems very appt today
As for perspective can honestly say as many did last night, that
has to be up with the worst performances I’ve ever seen by Quins
The experiment is not working
