Could be anything. Squad rotation. Slight Knock in training. A
thought that Chisholm, Robshaw & Lawday offer a better threat
against Tigers back row. To be honest, I think Back Row is
probably our most competitive area as a squad.

According to Quins, 70,000 tickets have been sold. That's a lot
less than we normally get. Is the day of the Big Game
approaching its end. Apparenrly we need 50,000 to be the same
profit as at the Stoop. It will be interesting to see if this is
just a blip or thr start of a downward trend.

People moaned about consistency in selection. Now you have it.
Semi been playing well but we won our last game and the back row
played well. No reason to change it id say.

Thank you Cassandra. However, I think BG is still doing pretty
damned well. It's the only singular club regular season game
that has consistently drawn large English numbers over the last
decade.Other teams have had their attempts (The Stinger, The
Clash, etc. But since 2008 the attendances for BG have been:
       2008: 50,000
       2009: 76,176
       2010: 74,212
       2011: 82,000
       2012: 82,000
       2013: 74,827
       2014: 82,000
       2015: 70,718
       2016: 77,567
       2017: 77,825
       2018: 82,000
       2019: ?????
Was 2008 a "failure"? Did 2015 fail to "draw in enough fans"? We
may not fully sell out the Big Stoop this year, but it's hardly
the first time this has happened at a Big Game, but so far every
game has drawn *well above* what is required to break even (with
the exception of BG1 where the police imposed a limit on the
numbers). Of all clubs we're the one that has consistent success
       at big events, and even though 70k+ isn't a sell-out, it's still
consistent with the level of ticket sales we've achieved
previously & to start talking about "slippery slopes",etc please
point to where you said the same in 2015*.
       * Note: the only other year apart from BG1 where we "failed" to
get more than 71k people through the gates was another World Cup
Year. Plus, we have yet to see what the walk-up numbers are too.
I despair sometimes about the doom & gloom merchants here who
see the lightest negative drift (while statistically irrelevant)
as being a reason to say the club is doomed
       financially/domestically/etc.

We only opened the lower and part of the middle for big game 1
       didn’t we?

I also think there has been an increase in hospitality this year
choice of buffet or sit down. I think apart from first year all
tiers have always been open or maybe top tiers of ends not
available all years? I don’t know what Tigers support will be
like they seem to be going through a bit of gloom and
despondency. Let’s hope it is a good game and not like Saints
       game.

I don't understand Chisholm and Lawday over Dombrandt and
Kunutani on form at all. I suspect PG still has doubts over Gabs
defence which is why he's opted for Goneva but I'd have
preferred it the other way around. A shame Morris isn't fit as I
worry about Chisholm Snr having one of his howlers on the big
stage - hope I'm proved wrong
