Look at the good, Our Defense was insane then their first try
was because of a Ulster man knocked the ball out of Murlys
hands, Goneva did a amazing pick up of a bad pass and would of
been away but we get called back the knock on that never was and
then they score, 14 point swing there.
Small moment like that are enough to swing a game,
After going behind and chasing we made a lot of mistakes, which
       is to be expected.
I’m amazed the only time the ref wanted to check a anything was
when we scored a try but there you go.
So for me people weren’t expecting anything from that squad
which held out for 31 mins then had a bad call against them and
2 HiAs which would ruin most squads, so hope we go strong
against wasps next weekend and show the premier is where our
       focus is.

       Ref was crap blah blah.
Same old Quins, whatever the year. Utter shite and zero

Shocking ref. True. Appalling attack from Quins. Bunches in
attack, dropped balls and passes too high to take with any
momentum. Ultimately the buck stops with Gussy but I can see a
team who aren’t being coached and drilled effectively and as
much of a fan of his as a player I was, Nick Evans is in the
wrong role. He is too FH focused and we need a fresh set of
       eyes.
We have good players but also those who need to shape up or ship
out. Chisholm was dire tonight, he has been too often.

Ross Chisholm It must be played?
We did the first attack action after 31 minutes
       Martin Landajo,Brett Herron,Ross Chisholm ,Paul Lasike,Travis
Ismaiel,Santiago Garcia Botta, can also leave them at home.
For me, the very problem, is the coach,he is not capable of
       managing the team
Maybe he's preparing the team to play the shield cup.
       Kunatani best player,he was everywhere.
For all the rest imbarrassing team
We lost because of the referee? How much beer you've been
       drinking?

Bad team selection. Too many journeyman. Poor kicking poor
tactics. Utterly dismal. Coach Gustard needs to explain his
awful team selections, too much chopping and changing and it
       shows. Get rid

What's wrong with acknowledging how well Kunatani played? Or
Lewies? Or Lang? Or do you think they played badly?

Poor old Dombrandt was so peed off. The wider squad is
definitely a concern. The HIAs didn't help the prospective
players show their stuff but it seemed a pretty slim hope
       anyway.
On the plus side: Lewies is becoming pretty terrific. Kuanatani
played well and Lang is playing well in his preferred role of
centre. He was good at FH too.
But.....We had very little magic or inspiration. I hope Geneva
and Ishmael can provide some but am worried about them being in
       ahead of Gabs and Murley.
And while the ref did not cost us the game, he was shocking. I
don't usually criticise rugby refs as they are usually pretty
competent. That was a terrible display.

We do seem to be the world experts at throwing momentum away and
turning promising positions for ourselves into easy outs or
chances for the opposition. That missed chance where Chis
couldn’t finish and we contrived to give away a penalty just
summed the evening up for me.
Last night was particularly irritating. The selection for a home
game felt like the fans were having the pee wee taken a bit and
the basic errors count remained high.
As other mentioned we had some very good performances in there,
Lewies is looking stronger each game, Kunatani was everywhere
too and Elia was his normal industrious self. The 2 HIA’s came
at a bad time. The ref was absolutely atrocious, I mean abysmal
       all round.
I just don’t feel like there’s much direction is anything we do
at the moment. It could be the result of the rotation but
there’s no momentum being gained and the difference between the
good performers in a game and the bad performers was illustrated
starkly last night. Drove back an hour and a half in the rain
last night on the M25 and for the first time since the 2nd half
of 17/18 really wondered why I was bothering.

Rightly or wrongly, I am sure that Gustard had an eye on (1) the
next two Premiership fixtures (Wasps away, which is very
winnable, and Tigers at HQ which has to be won well for
marketing reasons) and (2) the unlikeliness of progressing in
Europe. So it was pragmatic, he just didn't get away with the
selection for more than 38 minutes. In fairness, he can't select
everyone who is the first choice every week or even every home
game. That is not a problem. The problem is that, yet again, we
have too many players who are not quite up to playing at this
level, for various reasons. There is only so much that Gustard
can do about that except recruit better, but then again, it has
       to be within budget.
