I'm not sure that is correct. Unlike centuries, decades finish
on the "9". (The first decade was actually only 9 years.)

Disagree. There was never a twelve-month called "year 0" in
between 1 BC and 1 AD
- So each year is from 1 to 10. Decades & centuries cannot be
any different.

I'm with Fursty and PQ2 on this one. A decade is, by definition,
a group of 10. There was no year "zero". This, the first decade
in common usage of the term started at the beginning of 1AD, and
finished at the end of 10AD.
That's one of the hills I will die on (another is that Die Hard
is a Christmas film).
Mind you you can *start* a decade at any time. If we wanted to,
we could define a decade as starting on July the 19th, 2014 at
15:49, and it would conclude at the end of 15:48 on July 19th,
2024 [emoji41]

you are confusing being 2020 years after the notional birth of
Christ with a current decade. The 2010's started 2009 years
after AD0 and finishes 2019 years after.

But there is no year AD0 in the calendar.

My team not much different but as follows 2 changes mo and
williams
My team of the decade: Marler, Gray, Sinckler, Robson, Kohn, Big
Mo, Robshaw, Easter; Care, Evans, Monye, turner-hall, marchant,
Williams, brown.
