Mustn’t get carried away due a win.Had 12trees kicked his sitter
we might have a slightly different attitude to this game I
suggest. We are not building on last year but trying to get back
where we were.Top 6 is a damned sight more difficult this
season.Jury is out Gussie a lot to do

A lot of things could have changed the game. The second (I
think) Glos try where the player went through a huge gap, came
after a Glos player had taken out Ismael beyond the ruck. Nice
tactic if you get away with it, but annoying when it's against
       you.
Am I imagining it, or have the "Gussie Out" type comments and
       threads (thankfully) dried up? :)

Interesting dynamic this season as we have already played the
       Top 4 sides .
Last season we started by losing 3 of the 1st 4 games then
turned it round with a close win against Glaws . , we then went
on a good run before running out of puff .
I think there will be a clearer picture of where we are after
our next games against the teams that are struggling below us
       .. Wasps and Tigers ! , ... another strange season .

One area that I have been pleased with over the last two games
is our reduced penalty count. I don't know what the actual count
was from yesterday - but it seemed lower than usual. I think we
gave away the first penalty on 23 minutes on Sunday. There were
a few silly penalties - but, it felt that we didn't give away as
many as we were last season.

Couldnt agree more with this. Next three games off Wasps (A),
Tigers (H-BG), Sale (A) are huge games for our season. Two away
trips we have historically struggled with but wasps certainly
seems like a game we ought to be getting something from, Sale is
always tough for us. Leicester is a strange one. Form/table
wise, it should be a 5 pointer, but they always raise their game
for us for some reason and they have a lot of quality which
could click into gear at any point.... Should be targetting 10
points at least from those game imho

The Enya game is tough for everyone, to be fair... I definitely
think we should be targeting 2 wins & a losing BP if we're truly
out of the early season blues.

Looks like Laing is on a mission this season.
A new World Cup cycle, and is eyeing up a permanent place in the
Scottish squad. Bulked up a bit, and his natural confidence is
shining through. And oh, what a boot. Good luck to the fella.

Agreed. Wasps seem to have very little form so I’d like to think
we’d be targeting something from the photocopier centre though
it’ll still be very tough. At least our traditional wasps
nemeses Daly, Wade and Hughes are no longer there. Need to win
BG12 and Enya, I’ll take an LBP for sure.

I'm not sure that Tigers do particularly raise their game for
us. I doubt they target us in any way or raise their game like
they might against Saints or Bath. In previous years though,
when they've been struggling, we just play badly against them.
It's almost like the players go into the games thinking they're
still the Tigers of old and don't go with the mentality that
       they can win.
