To give a serious answer, he has a large flaw in his game which
that his length of kicking from hand is awful. Everything else
is at the very least competent and in many cases fantastic.
Great attitude, too.

Yes doesn't get much distance. He needs a kicking 12 or 15 on
the pitch with him.

Smith has the potential to be a real standout player for many
years to come. He's not the finished article by any means.
Sometimes he's a bit too impetuous & tries to create things
where there isn't the space/time available. His defence needs to
improve. Yes I know that he's still young & will bulk up &
improve defensively in time, this is just as an observation that
this side of his game is behind his attacking game. Also, he
needs to look at his pace. That break from our 22 where he was
chased down by a Flanker & prevented from scoring is something
that any self respecting back would want to forget.
All in all he's a real find & managed properly (both in terms of
game time & in development on & off the field) he will be an
outstanding asset. I just think we need to temper our
expectations of him while he's still developing.

Yes I generally agree FF.
I think the flanker who managed to haul him in is acknowledged
as being exceedingly quick though.
He does have areas of weakness to his game, but he has really
good vision and his distribution is superb. Needs to work on his
defence and kicking IMHO, that's not to say they're bad, just
not up to the same standard as the rest of his game. I don't
think he's going to be the next St Johnny, but he's a damn fine
player.

Regarding his pace: The most important aspect for a FH is his
pace over 10-25m, to get through a gap, which he does. After
that our quick boys should be in support. He didn't get that
when the flanker chased him down.
