Well, we've done what Bristol have done and built a squad of
largely mediocre journeymen with a few big names :)

Brownie will go out on his own terms, I think. He'll fight back
from this.

Massive loss in one area where we have absolutely no quality
cover. Unlike Saracens we can't pick from home-grown star /
current England incumbent signed from rival on huge wages /
current Wales incumbent signed on huge wages. The injury
replacement signing could be the most important of the season.

At least there is an explanation for him playing well below his
normal very high standard in his last two games.

With the exception of the concussion that he picked up against
Italy a couple of years ago, Mike has rarely missed a game for
club or country through injury and so this long layoff comes as
a shock.
To suggest that it could be the end of his career doesn't take
in to account the mental and physical powers that he possesses.
I will be seeing his dad from time to time at Salisbury RFC and
try to get an update on his road back to full fitness.

I thought that PG said the operation was to extend his career,
not end it!!

Surely we need to get hold of the best fullback around. Shame
Sarries have taken them all.
