size of the playing squad - minus the marquee players - the size
of the salary pot - what is it 8 millyun pounds now - will tell
that it is a lot over £50,000 per player.

Is this not about the general workforce, not pro rugby players?

I was walking from Stoop to Twickenham town centre for lunch
before game yesterday, and looking at the stream of 18 & 19
plate Range Rovers, BMW X... and Mercedes GL... variant SUVs
that were heading into players car park, I see see where a lot
of their money is going ::) ::) ::) ::)

Don't be fooled by the 18/19 reg plate stuff. Most of the big
name players get discounted cars as it's seen to be good for the
car brand that so and so drives a range rover, bmw etc. It's how
branding works

Yep. Often when a player picks up a new car it's in a short-term
deal from a local supplier who they go out of their way to
praise on online media. And, because it's a deal between the
dealer and the player with no involvement from the club, it
doesn't form any part of the salary cap, as I understand it.

I earn 40k. I got a promotion last year and the salary for my
new job was 100k, but I told my company not to worry, because
after tax you're not really much better off.
