I think the point of the article is that most rugby players
aren't paid that much and careers are short whatever club they
play for.
It's got nothing to do with the writer being an apologist for
Sarries - that's just the hook for the article.

The main point for me was that if the source info for the
article is accurate, then the players in question need to find
better accountants.

Sounds like a lot of money. The flip side is that many leave the
game with long term injuries or other physical problems. The
punishment that their bodies take is more than most of us will
ever experience. Besides, many people earn six figure salaries.

err, what? I don't feel sorry for non-rugby players who earn
more than 100k - what does that have to do with matt hampson? Or
