Bit of a thumping but not too fussed really. We used to make an
effort is this competition but recently we don't seem that
bothered, which is a shame

I think it is unlikely that PG will mention it. Usually the a
team games are coached by one of the assistant coaches.
Sometimes the main coaches are at these games but just as an
observer.
But, A league games are usually a complete lottery based on how
the scrum performs.

I was at the game last night. We were abysmal. Looked like they
only met each other 5 mins before the game. The Braves played
exactly the way the chiefs do. The only plus point was our scrum
was on top for most of the evening. Our defence was all over the
place though and we managed to knock on so many times it became
a joke with my Exeter supporting mates.

To be fair, some of the guys had probably only met each other
for the first time yesterday.
I think it is challenging for a team that is mixed with pro
players, part timers and some guests (amateurs?) to travel all
the way down to Exeter (3 1/2 to 4 hours?) on a Monday night
for a friendly game.
The main thing that you get from these games is a run out in a
full contact environment and therefore it gives the coaches some
view over the fitness of the players.
How long did Goneva and Ismaielstay on the field? Did they play
the whole game?

Goneva managed 70mins, Ismaiel did 50mins. Lambert managed
20mins before limping off. Didn't look too major though, more
precautionary.

Interesting - thanks for that.
Based on that, I'm predicting Goneva to appear on Sunday.
