Apologies, should have made it clearer. But I take that as good
news, neither can be that bad if they only just never made it.

Other than Glen Young, where do you think the truly poor player
performances were? I'm being genuine here - not sarkey.

Apart from his run, Ibitoye was poor. Thought Lang was quiet.
I think Robshaw has not been great in his appearances this
season

Clermont's best performance of the season....yes, because they
played the poorest team so far this season.
Glen Young is too lightweight, he fell off too many tackles.
Does not look good but will hopefully improve.
We deperatly need Marler and Sinklair back.
Looks like we will be in a relegation battle this year with
Wasps, Leicester and Sarries....how times have changed.
I am supportive of Gustatd, however, you have to ask questions
about some of the signings that have been made. Young was poor
as were Baldwin Botta etc...
Surely time to drop / rest Smith too. He seems a shadow of the
player he was last season.
Not a good night for us Quins fans....it is looking like a long
season.

or we could say you are being generous. This is the premier
club rugby tournament in the world (I include super rugby in
that). The standard is high, and as such you need to be setting
your standards high. Tonight, too many players did not meet
that standard. I never expected a win, but some of the points
you mention paper over cracks. My comments on Robshaw for
example, based on the whole season so far, not just tonight, he
has not looked his old self so far. Im not writing anyone off,
but the players and coaches need to take a long hard look at
themselves and go again.

One of the key things that has struck me is how we cope under
pressure. We seem to spill, knock on or throw it a bit wildly
without too much pressure put on us. It's a real shame and has
become a feature of our play while we have been on this poor run
since March.
Prior to that, we were on the front foot, scoring lots of tries
in the first half and making the opposition question themselves.
I can't speak about the Worcester game because unfortunately I
was not there. But: Why didn't we kick on and have the BP sorted
by half time?!!! Against Saints we were destroyed by an
inability to cope with huge ball carriers (as in the men were
huge not the ball). Today the same thing happened. We were also
caught out by deft kicking by Lopez from the platform of their
solid pack.
I think the solution is in building a togetherness in the team
through playing together. Maybe the same 15 should start next
week? Perhaps not. I thought our wins in the prem cup had helped
us to get over last season and look forward. Likewise, the
narrow defeat to Exeter had a lot of promise. Bath are there for
the taking if we can retain the ball and move it with
confidence.

Argh!
Pace can be coached to a certain extent, but a brainless speed
merchant with no ball skills or defensive ability is a
liability. Yes, he can make a mockery of any defence at times,
but usually just makes a mockery of himself. He set up a try -
brilliant. He also turned the ball over SIX TIMES, and missed
three tackles. That leads to a lot more points than the try he
clawed back.
As for Saili - six carries all match for 15m, 1 defender beaten,
no offloads. Woopdie-do. Kerrod in the loose - 4 carries for
1m. What on earth is supposed to be impressive about that? Makes
his tackles, but so do most props these days. And he got munched
in the scrum.

Hoping Crumpton hurry’s back. He is out of contract this season,
we better re sign him fast before he takes another look at this
team and goes else where. Can’t be left with Baldwin, I’m really
not impressed. Elia looks better this season but lineout is
still not consistent

Sitting in my hotel room in Clermont reflecting ..... If your
front row crumbles in the first few scrums, you're really up
against it.
But you should be able to manage your own line outs, which we
didn't. So, always on the back foot . That's why, Robshaw,
Lawday and Evans were superb, throughout.
With Sinckler and Marler back, I'm confident we'll be OK at
scrum time, but for goodness sake sort out the line out.
Everything stems from there.
But what a brilliant night, with brilliant fans from both sides.
