At the moment, Henry Taylor is probably doing the best, although
it's taken him some time, plus he's been fortunate with Saints'
injury problems and Reinach being at the RWC.
RE: Walker being a poach - he was looking for a club that was
less demanding of his time than Tigers when he was studying for
his A levels.

I'm clearly in the minority here, but I don't think our squad is
as poor as people are making out. We've played four league
games, and some of the squad have only played minutes in those
games. It's a bit soon to passing terminal judgement, in my
opinion. Anyone writing off Goneva after Saturday seems to pay a
huge disservice to his last 10 years of rugby.

Also, I think that people might have forgotten that we only won
one of our opening 4 league games last season, when the weather
was much drier and we didn't have so many injuries.

I think we are a bit of a fair weather team. We can be a bit
shambolic when there is a light/medium drizzle (e.g.
Bristol/Wuss or Bristol away last season) or a few snowflakes
(e.g. Ulster at home). A few years ago, we were lucky to have
the game against Tigers abandoned when there was a light breeze
blowing across the ground.
Wait until we have a dry day and then judge (e.g. Glaws away
last season).

Mmmm but we did'nt let him go. He went of his own accord. Bit
like Sam Arnold and Kieran Tredwell (whose probably doing the
best as he's been capped by Ireland ;-) )
Well they both have but I think Kieran's got a brace now against
Sam's bench cap

A light breeze?!? At the time there was scaffolding around the
area of the Comms Tower in the SW corner. The wind was strong
enough that it ripped the advertising hoardings from the front
of the stands and have them flying down the pitch. The
scaffolding was swaying alarmingly, and it was easily enough of
a hazard to the fans in the stands let alone the players on the
pitch to abandon that specific Anglo-Welsh cup game...

For a professional sports team playing a winter sport, it's
completely fair to judge on these wet weather performances. I
agree we are a fair weather team, but that needs to change - not
good enough at this level.

Quins or someone from the EPDG?

I was being facetious about the light breeze/few
snowflakes/light drizzle.
But, my point is that when the weather is severe, then we seem
to be affected more than other teams. I think this is to be
expected. A team from Newcastle has more experience of training
in the cold. A team from Sale/Bristol/Bath probably trains in
the rain more often than us.
(London's average rainfall is 602 millimetres compared to
Manchester 806 mm and up to 1,200 mm in parts of the West
country). Likewise, we probably do better when it is drier and
warmer.

No never made the paid ranks. Played up to U18s, Harlequins
wanted him as a SH but he wanted to be a centre so took himself
off to Ireland, plays for Munster now (as centre) came off the
bench for Ireland last year aginst USA
