Joe Launchbury was released by Quins as a youngster.
We seem to be able to develop wingers, centres and other backs.
Back rows tend to be okay too as are props, however second rows
have been few and far between. I can't think of a second tow
developed through the academy that went onto be as good as
George Robson.

The point is players released by Gustard, not every academy
product we've ever let go :)
And yes, Walker was Tigers academy.

Not sure, when I was quoting earlier in this thread 6-7 (academy
lads), walker was number 7 as I could'nt remember whether he
joined our academy from being let go from Leicester's academy of
he joined as a senior player from their academy.

Walker joined our EPDG when he had one full year at school left
to go, so he's fair game to call a player from 'our academy'.

There aren’t any, as far as I can think of, players from the
academy that we have let go after playing in the senior squad
who have gone on to better things. Merrick might yet. We could
have only had X in the cap to pay him and a better offer from
France and the opportunity was too good to turn down. There are
players that are must keep and take up the majority of the Cap.
It’s up to Gussie to manage what we do with the rest. Non of us
have any idea how difficult that is or about our target players
and whether they even want to come to us anyway. We can only
comment on what we actually have and how well they are
performing. We haven’t had a first choice team out yet and with
the amount of new players we have I think we need a little more
time.

Murley is an academy product.
I believe we have high hopes for Barlow, Head, Riley and Tizard.
I’ve liked the look of Kenningham when I’ve seen him play too.

Tizard seems to be going well at L Scottish, I think he may have
had a MOM already this season. Barlow also there. I agree
about Kenningham, looked really good in the A League. Constant
pain at the breakdown. Head, not sure where he actually plays
now, Is/Was a LH but had played quite a bit at Hooker in the A
League, that could be down to injuries though
