Should have kept the lads that came through the Academy. Part of
the Quins way was bringing lads through the club so that not
only would they want to play for Harlequins but they would want
play for their 'mates' as well. That's just been tossed in the
bin along with all the good work the academy coaches did.
Probably set back the club a lot more than most will ever
       realise

Which ones though? I see your point but in recent years we’ve
had a number of academy players that just haven’t cut it in the
       first team.

Which brings me back to original point .. time for Gustard to go
. Let’s face it it’s us Wasps or Leicester for the chop this
year . I know Leicester have been as woeful as us and mirrored
us like Easter in appointing an ex player as coach.. it very
rarely works .. no point in waiting until there is a real crisis
in February or March .. do it now .. plenty decent coaches out
there post World Cup .. it hasn’t worked Paul
.. fall on your sword now

I don't think anyone is really safe this season. A few bad
results and you are in the mix. There is no rank favourite. The
3 teams you mention (Us, Wasps and Tigers) will all have a
decent run at some point, and someone else will be in the mix.
Despite the weekend, I still think Irish and Worcs will be in
       the mix

I can understand the frustration etc. As it stands we look to be
in a fight to stay up. 3 weeks time we have Gloucs. Win that
and we go above them (I think??) and then talk of relegation
drops and people think towards top hopes. Its a fair comment
elsewhere about "burying heads in the sand" but its still very
early in the season. I maintain that this is not as bad a squad
as some may make out. For now, keep the faith!!

We're currently 2 wins from the last 11 premiership games!
       That's a worry!!

We lost 3 of the 1st 4 games last season and Gustard was the
dogs swingers ... same this season and hes the villain .
For me our defence has improved no end and we are tougher to
score against but are struggling with creativity in attack -
Dombrandt is running lines and getting through but not seeing
much from anyone else , hopefully Saili and Campagnaro will form
a strong centre partnership ( with Taps on the bench)
We have some real talent in this side and shouldn't write
       ourselves off .
Last years poor start was turned round by the 5th game which was
an away win at Glaws ....

True. There’s plenty of time to turn things around, especially
if some key players come back. It just feels like the promise of
the period ending with the away win at Bath has fizzled out.
Last season’s success was a bit overdone, we may have been one
missed kick away from 4th but we were also one 75 min try away
       from being 7th.
