HARLEQUINS HAVE ANNOUNCED THE SIDE THAT WILL TAKE ON WORCESTER
WARRIORS AT THE STOOP ON SATURDAY IN THE GALLAGHER PREMIERSHIP
(KICK-OFF: 15:00)
The 23 sees a number of changes from the last weeks fixture
against Northampton.
James Chisholm is named as captain, with summer signing Will
Evans joining him in the back row for his 5th appearance in the
famous Quarters, with the formidable talents of Cadan Murley and
Gabriel Ibitoye starting on the wings.
Fijian international Tevita Cavubati will make his Club debut at
second row. Michele Campagnaro has recovered from his injury and
is set for his debut off the bench, alongside prolific Fijian
winger Vereniki Goneva who is in line for his first Harlequins
appearance after the Rugby World Cup.
Martin Landajo
Head of Rugby Paul Gustard said: “We were disappointed with our
performance against the Saints last week. We have had a good
week preparing for the strong challenge that Worcester will
bring. We look forward to embracing that challenge on Saturday.
“We are also pleased to see Campo recover from his small knock
last week to take his place in the 23 alongside Niki giving us
real firepower in the squad.
“We picked up a few injuries last weekend which, although is
frustrating and disappointing, it also presents a tremendous
opportunity for other players to put their best foot forward and
seize the opportunity. We have faith in our players and I
believe in them.”

Nice to see Saili back & it'll be interesting to see how Lang
does at 13. I know we've played him at 10, 12, and 15. Does this
mean we see him as the real Swiss Army Knife of a Utility Back?
Here's the opposition:

14 Melani Nanai
13 Francois Venter
12 Ashley Beck
11 Ed Fidow
10 Jono Lance (C)
9 Michael Heaney
1 Ethan Waller
2 Niall Annett
3 Richard Palframan
4 Anton Bresler
5 Graham Kitchener
6 Ted Hill
7 Sam Lewis
8 Cornell Du Preez
Replacements
16 Joe Taufete’e
17 Callum Black
18 Conor Carey

On paper, that looks a decent side. Young is a bit of a worry
for me, think he looks a bit lightweight but with Cavubati
alongside him that will help. Some good options from the bench
also.

Injuries are really becoming a problem! Probably the weakest
team ive seen us put out in the premiership for a very long time

Some frustrating injuries.
Not ideal to be playing an untried (I think) centre partnership
and second row partnership. No brown, still, and no robshaw,
marchant and tapuai.
Oh well

I’d imagine we are trying to rest a few so we get a good start
in Chmpions cup next week
With Worcster missing a few it makes sense, but it’s going to be
a tough game...but the all are these days

Yes, that side doesn’t exactly fill me with confidence but very
happy to be proved wrong. A team with something to prove. Injury
curse starting to strike is rather frustrating.

I don’t see this as weak, more unproven. I really don’t know
much about the pack. The backs are all individually talented,
but who knows how well they will flow. RC I at 15 has some
strengths, but I’ve never seen him as more than a 7/10 fullback.
I hope to be pleasantly educated on Saturday. We all know we
have to win, so I assume Gussy picked a team he believes will do
so
