I like that team. Some risk in picking it but the pack can
battle and it rests some key players. Think we have a great
chance to win away at an in form side.
Think next week we will hopefully see Saili and
or Camps to rest Marchant and Tapua, and the Fijians being
filtered in. Care is clearly nearly back as well, if this is
planned to be Charlie's last match

Quins to Silence Franklin’s Gardens
In 48 hours the game is on,
Saints vs Quins up at Northampton.
Confidence that Northampton will be put through the mangle,
With focus and drive, a slowly applied STRANGLE.
A strong start, 15 men quick out of the gate,
A game plan, perfectly executed and Saints will SUFFOCATE.
Poise, style, brutally and balance
Fans from the Gardens leaving in SILENCE

I think I'm right in saying that Andrew Symons, the Northampton
centre, is our Matt's younger brother. So a good family battle
ahead (memories of the Dixon brothers getting stuck in in
previous Quins/Northampton battles).

PG said last night that he had the match day squads planned 3
weeks ahead , and players knew then that they were going to be
rested , subject to injuries .
I agree its a good system .
He said he now had 45 players , about 4 more than he had planned
so keeping everyone happy with game time was a challenge - but
he said he thought he had a fair system which the players had
bought into.

how often does a team get to put out their best side due to
injury?? I would say that this kind of rotation will make it
more possible to put that best side out, we will not see players
being asked to play with little knocks here etc. Should keep
the players fresh and, when given a go raring to take it. He
has shown he rewards good performances so when you get the gig,
you know you have to take it as the next chance might be a few
weeks away.

I worked this out for the 2011/2012 Quins. The number of times
we put out our best side over the course of the season? Once.
Fortunately, it was in the final.

game as per usual
If you are staying overnight and need somewhere to watch the RWC
final Northampton Old Scouts and also Northampton Casuals will
be open early for breakfast and open bar

I plan to be in the Foundrymans, SiB - see you there.
Apparently the Beckett is closed for renovations, so don't go
there!
