Saracens & Wray have released separate statements saying they'll
appeal, but given that it was an independent body that made the
judgement & sanction, and that

I'm not sure how they feel they have a chance of winning. The
review was led by a former Master of the Rolls and had another
QC in the panel of three, I would suggest that they would know
the legal side. I doubt there would be issues of procedure
either, given the severity of the situation. That only leaves
the realm of it being "irrational". This will run for a while
yet, but there has to be a question about their squad *this*
season & it's standing against the salary cap. If they are
allowed to contest games with a squad that could yet still be
found above the cap, the results of those games must surely be
suspect too.

Even the clubs statement, sounding so hard done by. Excuse the
admin errors as we said sorry!!! This is going to rumble on and
on. I have a bad feeling they will wriggle out of this. If it
is true they are accepting the fine and not the points
deduction, why would you accept the fine if you believe you did
nothing wrong?!?

They will complain, go to arbitration but hopefully still pay
and still be deducted 35 points. The key point to me is that
they must not be allowed to still continue being over the salary
cap. If they continue to recruit more and more internationals
then they should face throwing out of the league.

I like the bit about their view being supported by "independent"
legal and professional experts. I wonder if that still holds if
you exclude experts either paid by Saracens for their view or
seeking to be paid by Saracens for their view?

And where does this leave the likes of Elliot Daly. He hasn't
played for them yet and they may not be able to keep him.

Robbed us of top 4 last season. They have got off lightly. They
should be banned from European Cup and Prem Rugby Cup.
