I wonder if their fans who insisted they weren't doing anything
wrong will now accept they're cheats?

I'm not the sort of person to go on their fans forum and take a
pop at them over this, but I find it a bit rich asking oppo fans
to go easy on them.
For years they have been in denial and had a go at any one that
suggests they have cheated the salary cap and they would have
been very vocal in saying told you we don't cheat if the outcome
had been in their favour.

If the trophies and prize money acquired whilst in breach of the
regulations are not rescinded, it is a rather toothless
punishment.
The integrity of the Premiership has been massively damaged.
Can we trust the competition? Do we believe that everything was
done perfectly legally before the period investigated (beginning
in the 2016-17 season)? Do we believe no other clubs have been
bending the rules as well?
A sad day for English rugby and professional rugby.

Its not enough. He will just write a cheque. The fine should
come out of next 2 seasons Salary Cap. Even with the points
deduction they can still finish 4th and win the Prem.
Farce.

Should be stripped of anything won during the period, same thing
happened to Melbourne Storm in NRL. Not much of a punishment to
fine a club who clearly have oodles of money to breach the cap.

Quite. Lawyers threaten to destroy the league if any evidence is
released, and then supporters claim they are innocent because
no evidence has been released.

I actually feel sympathy for the Saracens supporters. It is
natural for them to deny it,. They love their club, travelled
with them, watched them lift trophies and have built memories.
For anyone on the outside to point fingers and say "thats all
built on a lie", it would be hard to take so will defend the
club.
Those people now have tarnished memories that were all built on
a lie. Of course, us on the outisde can see it, we know what a
club costs to run and how Quins let players go and struggled
during internationals, but if you are in it, do not look into
the detal and just want to support a club that give you that
weekend of joy , you won't see it.
I say feel sympathy for the conned, feel contemption for the con
artists.
Surely the board have to resign on mass for this.
