They just might have had to go to other clubs to get the money.
Sarries have created a false floor for salaries. This is so much
       bigger than them simply overspending.

Regarding your last sentence....I'm not knowledgeable about
this, but surely only their equivalent of DOK can do this?
Unless it is personal abuse, foul language, or whatever, isn't
       this censorship without justification?

I was in denial about bloodgate right up to the point when Deano
etc., came clean. There was no defence. Harlequins were guilty
as charged. This issue is completely different but none-the-less
is a form of cheating/illegally bending the rules - call it what
you will. It has given Saracens a huge advantage over the other
premiership sides - including those teams that were relegated at
the end of each of the three seasons in question.
If you read the Premiership Rugby Statement it leaves no doubt
that Sarries were "independently" found guity. It states as
follows: "The decision of the Independent Panel is that
Saracens Rugby Club failed to disclose payments to players in
each of the seasons 2016-17, 2017-18 and 2018-19. In addition,
the Club is found to have exceeded the ceiling for payments to
senior players in each of the three seasons. The Panel therefore
       upheld all of the charges."
Those who were responsible for the offence should also be held
responsible. As for the issue of championships and cups won
during those three seasons - I would suggest that they are dealt
with as in other sports - such championships and cups should be
stripped from them. Reference Russian athletes in world,
European and Olympic events. Harsh but fairer to the other
teams and players in the Premiership.
Though I doubt it will happen ???

I'd be interested to see how club sponsors react. I can't see
Allianz, an insurance giant whose reputation is built on
integrity and financial probity, being pleased to be associated
       with this type of stuff.

That's a good point Robertquin. A loss of sponsorship in
addition would be a big blow!

Tony Rowe - Chiefs boss wants them thrown out now! As their
match with Sarries at Sandy Park on 29 Dec is sold out could be
       inconvenient!

According to various lawyers they can seek ‘a review’ of the
decision but various headlines saying they can appeal are not
correct. Apparently there is a big difference but not entirely
sure from lay peoples point of view what it is! Do we have any
       lawyers on here?

I would guess an appeal could mean that the sanctions change
(lesser points deduction/fine). A review would mean that the
decision is correct or not. If correct, sanctions stands, if
not, sanctions does not. Considering Sarries and Prem Rugby
agreed to abide by the findings before they were known, funny
that Sarries now are not sticking to that.
If they did review and won, I could then see the other prem
clubs taking some kind of action as they will argue the original
       decision should stand.

And to add, I would say the biggest problem Sarries have (apart
from being cheats) is that the original investigation has been
done by an independent body. And the body conducting it should
be well aware of all the legal aspects (Im sure a QC was one
member involved) So if a review is done by an independent body
that finds in their favour, it would only really make it 1-1 so
to speak. I think they are stuffed.

Good point, hadn’t thought of that. That could be the end of the
professional club. Who would want to be associated with a world
famous cheating club. What they have done is far worse and on a
far higher level than our misdemeanour ( which everyone else was
doing anyway) . Although plenty of companies still sponsor
       cycling teams.
