Rather amusing reading some of the responses to your comments. I
particularly liked the one that said you aren't worth replying
to you whilst replying to you. There appears to be a reoccurring
theme of but but but bloodgate.

Ok, i have another what if! What if they get relegated AND win

Does anyone know how much they are deemed to be over the salary
cap to receive a fine of 5.36m for 3 years breaches.
I assume there is a formula that would allow us to work back to
it

Not sure about that one, but strictly by the rules they'd still
be eligible, based on those rules...

It'll depend whether they've covered under section 10 or Section
12 of the regs. The points deduction is a tough one to call too,
whether for the three years they've been found over the limit
the penalty is being applied concurrently or consecutively.
Anyone else want to read trough and see what they think?

When I've raised this enigma with Sarries fans in the past - how
can you afford every player under the sun and still be below the
cap - they say that Sarries are so kind to their players, and
the environment is so good, they take lower than their worth to
play there!

There is a thread about this on the Brighton + Hove Albion
forum, just had this post from a sarries fan.
"As a Saracens fan of many years I am disappointed by this
decision. I get that the Premiership must be financially viable
but there's also a reason England have reached their first World
Cup Final in 12 years and that's because of Saracens RFC.
Saracens had 7 that featured In England's WC Final side: Jamie
George, Maro Itoje, George Kruis, Owen Farrell, Ben Spencer and
the Vunipola brothers. The first 5 of those came through the
Saracens academy/youth ranks while Mako and Billy were by no
means the finished article when they joined at a young age.
If this decision is upheld then expect the French sides who pay
considerably more wages than Saracens to dominate European
competition, expect an exodus of players out of the Premiership
and - because there are rules about players not playing for
England if they don't compete in the domestic league - expect
England not to appear in another WC Final for another 12 years."
So not only should they not be punished, we should thanking them
too!

I may have found it £3 per £1 over £200k above the cap
£25k for the first £50k and £150k for the £50k-£200k band
So approx £1.6m per season !!

So they have had about a 25 % bigger budget than there
opposition !!
