Not a bad team at all but the unavailables makes it a fair bit
stronger. Shame about Brownie but that's some serious pace in
the back 3.

Okay true.
But that's a serious looking Brizzle XV. Less concerned about
their bench options - that might be where we have the edge.

Concerns for me re our team-weather going to be very wet on
match day-we are a dry weather team-hope I am wrong!

Hmm...so we end up beating them 22-17. A couple of things I
would have thought were obvious, but still...
1) The Piatau brothers are massively overrrated.
2) Like many Pat Lam sides their tendency to run things from
every corner of the pitch was beaten by (in the second half) a
side that was better at keeping the ball in the forwards.
3) Marcus Smith is much better at game management ( having been
coached by one of the great game managers in Nick Evans) than
Callum Sheedy.
I'll predict now that, at home we will be able to manage our way
to wins over almost everyone in the premiership. The second half
today showed a lot of nous, and how far the team have come
under Gussie.

Did you see the game? The defence was mostly good, breakdown not
too bad, and that was it. Poor lineout, gave away at least 3
scrum pens, handling atrocious, kicking game awful, clueless
with ball in hand. Good result, rubbish performance.
There were two brief moments of relative excitement - the try
and the defence in the last few minutes.

Indeed. In conditions like that you'd have expected us to throw
the ball around, use dazzling footwork, and basically play like
the BaaBaas on speed. Still, at least we won, so Bristol must be
even more rubbish.
